DERMAN VERBAKEL ARCHITECTURE is an architecture, landscape and urban design firm based in Tel Aviv. Our work ranges from urban design, landscape architecture and public projects to housing and interior design , with projects in the US, Europe and the Middle East.
Recent work includes the Riviera Seaside Art Gallery in Bat-Yam and the public space design “On the Way to the Sea” for the city of Bat-Yam, which was published internationally in leading architecture magazines such as Architect (US), De Architect (Netherlands), Metropolis (US), Concept (Korea), Dezeen, Archdaily and others. Other recently completed projects are “Parking/Garden,” a public space design on Bat-Yam’s beach promenade, the new offices of the Belgian Embassy in Tel Aviv, an urban vision and public space design for the municipality of Harelbeke and a masterplan for the municipality of Kontich in Belgium.
In 2008, Derman Verbakel completed the masterplan for the municipality of Bonheiden in Belgium, a winning competition entry which was published internationally in magazines such as AD Magazine (UK), A+ (Belgium), Lotus (Italy) and Architettura Naturale (Italy).
