UReka is the biggest student party with currently 6 of 9 seats in the University Council of the University of Twente.
It has been established in 2001 and is since then engaged in representing student interests in front of the UT board.
UReka is the only student party that works full-time on the issues of students and that has a very strong bonding with study- and student associations, national and international workgroups, and (of course) with you students.
UReka is strongly target-oriented, proactive and very communicated - these main competences help us to develop and maintain a strong network with students, associations and think-alongs so that we are always up-to-date and can achieve our goals for the improvement of education at the UT and students' life.
Beside the work for the University Council, UReka is always busy to find out where there are problems, ideas and advices from students and associations to improve the study conditions for both Dutch and international students. It is important for us not to limit our interests and responsibilities to our work in the council but also to be proactive and find topics or ideas of improvement ourselves. To achieve this goal, we are member of numerous associations and workgroups so that we can use this network as a resource for our topics to deliver to the council.
