The Kelly Yang Project ("KYP") is an innovative Hong Kong-based educational services company. We operate tutorial centres, offer educational consulting services (e.g. interview prep, admissions), design curriculum for top international and private schools, and lend specialist teachers to institutions across Hong Kong. Our focus on qualitative subjects (e.g. writing, debate, critical thinking, and our signature "Global Thinking" courses) and unique teaching methodology set us apart from the STEM-focused educational landscape and the reliance on rote memorisation methods most often employed in this market.
KYP was founded in 2005 by former South China Morning Post columnist and award-winning, New York Times best-selling author, Kelly Yang. KYP students are trained to become effective global leaders through critical thinking skills and flawless communication in English, and we created the leading writing and debate programme in Asia for students ages 5-17. We have trained Asia's brightest students become creative thinkers, exceptional writers, and confident speakers. Our proven methods, dynamic classes, and outstanding results have propelled our alumni to some of the world's best institutions of higher learning and later to prestigious global workplaces.
KYP operates three tutoring centres in Hong Kong, and we offer classes both live and online to students worldwide. We also host classes within Hong Kong schools and offer consulting services on curriculum development and school admissions. To adapt to the changing landscape of online learning, we also have a team of US-based instructors (all published authors) who can teach our engaging curriculum to students anywhere in the world at nearly any time of day, seven days a week.
