Recognized today for its famous “Tiga Roda” brand and its new “Rajawali” brand, the history of PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk. (the “Company” or “Indocement”) began in 1975 with the completion of Indocement’s first plant in Citeureup, Bogor, West Java.
In 1989, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa carried out an Initial Public Offering and became a publicly listed company and also changed its name to PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk. The Company’s shares were first listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with the code “INTP” on December 5, 1989.
With the completion of Plant 14, the Company currently has 13 plants with a total annual production capacity of 24.9 million tons of cement. Ten plants are located in the Citeureup Factory, Bogor, West Java; two plants in the Palimanan Factory, Cirebon, West Java; and one plant inthe Tarjun Factory, Kotabaru, South Kalimantan.
Indocement’s corporate structure has grown through the establishment of new companies and the acquisition of shares in companies that support its business activities. The Company currently has five subsidiaries with direct ownership and has increased the number of subsidiaries with indirect ownership from nine in 2015 to twelve in 2016.
The Company and its twelve subsidiaries are engaged in several businesses consisting of the manufacture and sale of cement (its core business), ready-mix concrete, and aggregates and trass quarrying, and other sectors supporting the Company’s business activities such as shipping, investment, labor supply and management of non-productive assets. In addition, the Company has two associated entities, engaged in the management of the Citeureup Factory and the mining of clay and limestone.
