More than 60 million people are displaced around the world. This number is higher than ever before. Violence, oppression, and persecution force them from their countries. Leaving behind their communities, families, jobs and belongings, these people are desperate to start over somewhere safe. That’s 60 million people trying to build something from nothing, 60 million people in need of a place to call home.
CAO provides programs to support individuals in becoming self-sufficient in their new homes in Colorado. Through a combination of community navigation, case assistance, and education programs we work hard to ensure that immigrants, refugees, and asylum-seekers are capable of thriving within the complex and unfamiliar systems that they are faced with upon arrival to Colorado.
