Islamic Relief Germany is a German non-governmental organization which was founded in Cologne in 1996. Islamic Relief Germany is a partner of Islamic Relief Worldwide, a network of 15 independent Islamic Relief partner organizations in Europe, Africa, Asia and the USA, which was founded in 1984 in response to the famine in the Horn of Africa at the time. Thanks to our global network of partner and project offices in more than 40 countries, our emergency relief and development projects reach people in need in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Our aid is supported by thousands of local helpers and coordinated by the international office in Birmingham. Islamic Relief Germany's headquarter is in Cologne, with offices in Berlin, Essen and Munich.
