0202 aims to provide residents in Jerusalem with perspectives different than their own and to burst the bubbles each community lives in. Unlike residents of cosmopolitan cities like London or New York, Jerusalemites from different sectors grow up in entirely separate neighborhoods and school systems, and do not have access to one another’s news, stories, or ways of life. We seek to reflect these competing narratives and zeitgeists in order to bring about understanding and change in the city. 0202 focuses on making Jerusalem a better, safer, more inclusive city for all its inhabitants with the belief that knowledge and access to the other is a key step in the process of healing, accepting and tolerating the other. To achieve our goals we currently run a website and 4 Facebook pages, each providing access to news and opinions from different sectors of the city, in 3 languages - Hebrew, Arabic and English. In addition to our online news sites, we host panels, lectures, and tours to broaden the conversation on Jerusalem and amplify voices normally not often heard in mainstream media.
