When it comes to investment management, the Public Investment Corporation SOC Limited (PIC) has over a century of experience in managing public sector funds.
With R1,907 trillion in assets under management as of 31 March 2020, the PIC is one of the largest, most successful investment managers in Africa. Wholly owned by the government, we have a long-standing track record in delivering healthy returns for our public sector clients while also contributing to our country’s socio-economic development.
We invest funds on behalf of pension, provident, social security or guardian funds through a mix of asset classes, such as: equities, fixed income and dealing, properties and unlisted investments.
The PIC’s role is to grow and safeguard the assets entrusted to its care and to be both vigilant and tireless in pursuit of methods by which these assets can be enhanced, while, at the same time, continually exploring avenues through which its investment interventions might benefit the South African population, particularly the disadvantaged.
The PIC is a leader in developmental investment and promotes Environment Social and Governance issues through the investments it makes within all asset classes. As signatory to both the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investments and United Global Compact, the PIC is in line with these principles and will continue on its sustainability trajectory with conviction and commitment.
We are committed to serving our clients.
