The Energy Futures Initiative (EFI) is a nonprofit organization founded by Ernest J. Moniz in 2017 dedicated to accelerating the energy transition. In 2023, Moniz and his colleagues established the EFI Foundation (EFIF), a 501(c)(3) organization. EFIF carries on the legacy work of the Energy Futures Initiative and is dedicated to educating the public on ways to harness the power of technology and policy innovation to advance the transition to a low-carbon future.
