NIOM is a Nordic research institute in the field of dental biomaterials. NIOMs main activities are research, independent testing for the industry and standardization work. The staff includes several sought after speakers, that may be hired for courses/ lectures. In addition, researchers affiliated with Nordic universities may apply to become visiting scientists at NIOM. The institute welcomes several guest researchers each year. The institute is based in Oslo, Norway. NIOM is a cooperative body co-owned by NORCE and HOD, The Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services.
