Glasswing is an innovative non-profit organization that empowers youth and communities to address the root causes of poverty, violence, and migration through education, health, and community resilience programs
We work with youth facing poverty and extreme violence in some of the most dangerous countries in the world. Many of these children, lacking a sense of safety and stability, flee their homes or face other life-threatening situations. Despite these challenges, by harnessing the power of community, we provide them with opportunities to thrive and they become part of the solution.
Glasswing’s work is rooted in community engagement. We forge partnerships with international and local governments, corporations, non-profits, and civil society, building on, strengthening, and mobilizing existing resources to deliver high impact, sustainable solutions.
Our Work:
• Build students’ core life skills and resilience through weekly, year-round, extracurricular programs, and psychosocial support in public schools
• Provide out-of-school, unemployed youth with economic opportunities
through leadership, entrepreneurship, and employability training
• Empower girls by providing safe spaces and building their social, educational, and financial capabilities
• Train community leaders and public servants (e.g. teachers, medical personnel, police) in trauma-informed care and restorative practices
• Support the reintegration of individuals and families that have been displaced or migrated by providing trauma support, education, and job training
• Certify healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and first responders in
