Maha Gotra Ganesha (MGG) is a student activity unit in Institut Teknologi Bandung (Bandung Institute of Technology), established in 1971 as one of the oldest art and cultural students' organizations in ITB. Basically, MGG provides facilities for it's members to practice, develop, and present Balinese art, such as Balinese Dance, Gamelan (Balinese Music), and Sendratari (Traditional Balinese Opera).
Maha Gotra Ganesha literally means "Keluarga Besar Ganesha" or Great Family of Ganesha. Ganesha refers to main campus of ITB, Ganesha Campus at Ganesha Street, Bandung. Ganesha is also God of Education and Protection in Hindu belief. MGG is expected to be able to provide space for idealism development of ITB students to protect and conserve national culture, especially Balinese culture.

Nowadays, MGG is developing towards a cultural unit. It means, MGG is not only developing performance art but also other Balinese culture in ITB, such as Balinese Language (Basa Bali), Balinese fonts (Aksara Bali), Foods, Technologies, Make-Up, and so on. This development answers the needs of ITB students especially those who come from Bali and love Balinese culture.
MGG will celebrate it's golden year in 2021, 50 years of dedication for Balinese culture in ITB and Bandung, Jawa Barat.
