The Educational Investment Fund is a long-only student-managed investment fund at TCU’s Neeley School of Business. The EIF was the world’s first university fund controlled solely by student managers. It was established in 1973 with a $600,000 donation from William C. Conner, co-founder of Alcon Laboratories, and is today a multimillion-dollar portfolio. Since its inception, the Fund has represented an innovative, challenging approach to education in finance. It presents students with an unparalleled investment management experience while still within a university setting. The EIF is proud to provide an annual distribution of 5% of the Fund’s year-end net asset value to the William C. Conner Foundation’s two beneficiaries, Texas Christian University and the Department of Ophthalmology at the Baylor College of Medicine.
