The Government Communications Office (GCO) was established on March 9th 2008 as a dedicated office, created to facilitate and co-ordinate government communications across all Federal Government Entities and to ensure consistency in both voice and image of the UAE government. The Federal Government of the UAE considers communications a shared responsibility involving officials and Government employees at all levels.
The GCO will enable the Federal Government to work in the interests of all communications teams across the UAE with one set of international standards and a series of objectives that can be universally applied across the board.
