AFRIMA is a combined effort to recognise, award, promote and preserve Africa’s rich music and culture.
All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA is designed to promote the distinct, rich African music worldwide, engaging millions of fans by propelling African music to glorious pinnacles beyond the borders of AFRICA.
Annually, AFRIMA parades over 500 music super stars, from Manu Dibango, Salif Keita, Oliver Mtukudzi, Akon, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Soweto Choir etc, to contemporary generation artiste like Wizkid, Diamond Platnumz, Casper Nyovest, Ibitssam Tiskat, Charlotte Dipanda, Daphne, Eddy Kenzo, Stonebwoy, VVIP, Tiwa Savage, Becca, Toofan, Ahmed Soultan, AKA, Sauti Sol amongst others.
AFRIMA seeks to create a brand that will truly live up to the expectations of its internal and external stakeholders by building emotional bonds between brands in Africa and their existing and potential customers.
AFRIMA has five Regional Directors and 54 Country Directors as part of the decision making organs. Annual deliberations and conferencing include Regional Directors and strategists from the SADEC, Eastern Africa, Central Africa, Northern and Western Africa.
As part of our mission to promote and preserve Africa’s biggest exports-culture, music and entertainment, AFRIMA also organises annual workshops and summits as part of the event calendar to highlight and discuss issues such as intellectual property and treating music as a career and business as a way to creating employment.
The AFRIMA events runs from May to November each year.
