Monona Grove School District (MGSD) is a dynamic school system serving students and families who reside in the communities of Monona and Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, just outside of Madison. Serving over 3,500 students in grades 4K through 12, MGSD has a mission to be a safe, equitable, and inclusive learning community for everyone. The district has developed a five-year strategic plan that guides its mission, and this includes a steadfast commitment to guaranteeing equitable opportunity, access, and outcomes. To do this, the district has a stated goal and expectation that staff recognize and effectively respond to personal, implicit, and systemic biases and barriers that limit access and opportunities to ensure an equitable learning environment and school community for all students and families.
