The Mission of the Royal Botanic Garden of Jordan is to ensure native flora conservation through ecological restoration and providing a research and demonstration site to address the environmental challenges of our times and generating hope for the future.
Our objectives are to:
• Become an internationally recognized research facility for all aspects of conserving Jordanian native plant diversity and biodiversity in arid-land environments.
• Establish and display documented collections of the native plants of Jordan.
• Encourage visitors to gain a deeper appreciation of plants and take pride in Jordan’s floral heritage.
• Educate the public on conservation issues and the human role in environmental change.
• Revitalize communities through projects in harmony with nature.
The Royal Botanic Garden is still under development, but will open to the public in the relatively near future, funding dependent.
