TIDE is a start-up educational reforms organization founded in November 2014 that aims at bringing about a sustainable change in the educational system. As of June 2017, we have impacted the lives of around 4,500 individuals. We have 6 programs that work with different aspects of education. All of the programs are independent and act as an NGO in their own right though they follow a similar guideline i.e. work on high impact projects, with the aim to create a system that resolves the root cause in a span of 15 years.
Some of our programmes are:
1. College development: Works with various local colleges to change the pedagogy of teaching and aims to prepare college students for the professional world.
2. Prerak: Aims to uplift the quality of education, defined as education of the heart and education of mind, in institutionalized systems by working with all actants in the system
3. Skillixir: Aims to work on 1) Soft Skill Development in underprivileged youth and children through different activities and social action projects and 2) countering general issues that are faced by the slum/orphanage.
4. BetterEd: Focuses on working providing direct basic language, mathematics and life-skills' education to under-privileged, slum,
village and special needs children.
5. CompletEd: Works with private schools to transcend from rote memorization based teaching to application based learning processes to promote the development of higher order thinking skills including metacognition, critical thinking and creative thinking.
6. InspirArts: This is new program aims to promote a culture of arts and art education in urban slums, rural areas, and private schools.
