Model9 was an Israeli enterprise software startup company with a mission to break the silo of mainframe IT environments and connect the mainframe to the cloud. The company was founded by Gil Peleg, Adi Pundak-Mintz and Motti Tal in 2016 and was acquired by BMC Software in 2023. The company was backed by VC investors Intel Capital, StageOne Ventures and North First Ventures. Among the company's achievements on its journey were winning Fortune 500 customers from incumbent enterprise giants, signing strategic partnerships with major hyperscalers, as well as registering multiple patents for its deep technology.
