Family AIDS Caring Trust is a Private Voluntary Organisation that was founded in 1987. It was the first AIDS service organisation in Zimbabwe which helped in educating the communities about HIV and how to take care of the sick which then was called home based care. In 30 years it has grown with the developments in the area of HIV, now helping to reach the 90-90-90 goals which are to be reached by 2030 through the following ways: Test and treat programme, Empowering young girls and women so that they become independent as a way of reducing transmission. FACT also is into research as a way of helping forcast the way in which HIV will be managed in the future.
