The Digger Foundation is a Swiss based, non-profit organisation offering technological solutions in humanitarian demining.
Operating under the name of DIGGER DTR, it develops, implements and markets mine clearance technologies to assist mine clearers and significantly increase the efficiency of their work, which is in turn also made less dangerous and expensive.
The Foundation has operational experience from Sudan, Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia, Mozambik and Angola.
Its current products are
- DIGGER D-250, a fully remote controlled, armoured multi-tool machine for humanitarian mine clearance;
- SMART MDD, a dog harness with an integrated GPS System, a camera and loudspeaker, allowing the operator to work from a smartphone and without leash. The entire system weighs less than 500 grams.
- SCRAPER (Secured Clearance of Rubble And in Presence of Explosive Remnants), a standardized electronic device that can be mounted on almost any construction machines in order to turn it into a remote-controlled machine.
