The mission of the Pico Rivera Centre for the Arts is to provide an opportunity for community members to explore the fine arts through instructional classes, workshops, lectures and gallery exhibitions. We seek to provide an environment, which encourages individuals of all ages and skill levels to nurture and enhance their artistic abilities.
The Pico Rivera Centre for the Arts was built in 1989 and adjoins the city's Senior Center. The site is located directly adjacent to Smith Park and two elementary schools. The space is approximately 1,200-sq. ft. and serves as an exhibition space and site for art classes offered through the Department of Parks & Recreation.
We offer exhibitions which feature local and southern California artists, and weekly classes for children and adults: ceramics, comic book production, drawing & painting classes.
