Driver's Edge originally started operations in 1999 under the brand "America's Service Station" with two locations near Austin, Texas. While continuing to operate these locations, the Company acquired two more stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth market operating under the name "Driver's Edge". It subsequently moved its headquarters to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2003, where it added six additional stores in the years following, including Car Care Central in the Northeast Plano-Allen market.
