Galbraith Society began as a secret society within the Engineering Science program at the University of Toronto. Since 2012, Galbraith Society has been focused on improving the academic experience for undergraduate students of all disciplines.
The organization currently runs three initiatives:
1) The Research Experience (REX) program that enables undergraduate students to explore their academic interests by connecting with academic leaders and undertaking cutting-edge research.
2) The Galbraith Society Undergraduate Journal, which is the first peer-reviewed undergraduate journal in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. The Journal publishes research, reviews, and news articles.
3) Special events throughout the academic year, including technical skills workshops, tours, and conferences to promote the importance of innovation and integrative thinking.
