Mabruk Field
Mabruk Field: is an onshore field located about 170 kilometers to the south of Sirt town (Middle Eastern Libya). It was discovered in 1959 by LIAMCO (Libyan American Company), but was never developed due to the adverse characteristics of its carbonated reservoirs.
The development of the Mabruk oil field started in 1994 and has required the setup of innovative technologies to bring about a successful economic production from a tight and complex oil field (horizontal and multilateral drain drilling technology).
AL Jurf Field
AL Jurf Field: is an offshore field situated close to the Tunisian border, 100 km off the coast and 150 km from Tripoli. The phase one development of the Al Jurf oil field is in final stages with the last wells being drilled.
From a fixed drilling & production platform (BD1) set at 87 meters of water depth linked to a Floating, Production, Storage & Offloading unit (FPSO) set in 83 meters of water depth via 10″ sea- line of about 3 kilometers distance. First oil production was achieved on September 05th, 2003.
