Sandnes Garn AS was established in Sandnes, Norway in 1888. Today Sandnes Garn AS is the largest manufacturer of handknitting yarn in Northern Europe with a state of the art production plant at Foss-Eikeland just outside of Sandnes. Yearly the factory produces 760 tonnes of yarn (15 million balls) and 45 unique yarn qualities. The company has a strong focus on trends and design and the design department generates some 400 designs (knitting patterns) every year.
