Southend Theatres is part of Trafalgar Entertainment. Together, the Cliffs Pavilion, the Palace Theatre and the Dixon Studio are managed by an experienced team of over 250.
The Cliffs is the largest purpose-built performing arts venue in Essex and presents over 300 performances each year across a wide range of live entertainment from ballet, opera and classical music, through to top-name comedians and singers, to West End musicals, stand-up concerts and the largest pantomime in the South East.
The Palace Theatre opened in 1912, this delightful Edwardian Theatre retains all of the charm of its music hall origins including the sweeping grand staircase to the Circle, alongside many original features such as the regency-style domes on the boxes and the ornately-decorated billboard frames on the proscenium arch. Within the Palace, the Dixon Studio was a 1980s addition and is a busy black-box space with 100 seats.
