Ellis Architects was established in 1992 by Michael Ellis, AIA. The Tuscaloosa, Alabama-based practice comprises a team of architects, interior designers, construction administrators and support team members who pursue a common goal; exceed our client expectations by providing superior service and innovative design solutions. Established in early 2009, the Birmingham office of Ellis Architects focuses largely on commercial, healthcare, and academic designs throughout the state; its team members’ expertise, along with its geographical location, has allowed the office to easily service our clients statewide. Located on the historic Public Square, the Demopolis office of Ellis Architects has been serving West-Central and South Alabama since 2000 and maintains a committed presence in the community. As a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Ellis Architects recognizes the importance of responsible design and construction. Our team's goal is to implement green building techniques where they can provide environmental, economic, health or community benefits while remaining economically feasible to our client. With six LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified designers on staff, our firm is committed and knowledgeable in the design of efficient, sustainable, and conscientious buildings.
