The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a national nonprofit educational and service organization. SWE is dedicated to help women achieve success in engineering academically, personally, and professionally. With an active membership of over 500 students, the Texas A&M section of SWE strives to serve the student body, the community, and the College of Engineering. Through company sponsorship, SWE is able to provide many beneficial services to our members and community. We accomplish this through scholarships, our annual High School Conference, mentor programs like LEAP, K-12 programs like Outreach, professional development luncheons, community events, and bi-weekly meetings.
Joining SWE is a great way to get involved at Texas A&M. If you are a student at A&M, we encourage you to attend one of our meetings and learn what SWE has to offer you. Send an email to secretary@swetamu.org if you have any additional questions!
SWE would like to thank not only the student body that makes up the organization but also all the sponsors, the EASA Office and wonderful faculty that help SWE grow year after year.
