The American Association of Singapore (AAS) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the experience of expats and other community members by bringing them together through social events, activities, career and job support.
We are the oldest American organization in Singapore. Most expats don’t realize that AAS was the founder for most of the American community organizations in Singapore.
Singapore American Newspaper
Printed since 1958, the Singapore American is a monthly community newspaper reporting on travel, food and dining, events and happenings in Singapore.
Career Resource Center for Excellence
CRCE offers invaluable services to expats seeking job opportunities in Singapore through an exclusive job board and career workshops, as well as to employers seeking talented staff.
Living in Singapore
Singapore’s leading reference guide for expats, written by expats. The comprehensive twelfth edition helps newcomers understand local culture, customs and food; locate schools, resources, goods and services and find things to do, places to go and even how to get there.
Events
Every year we hold six major events: the black-tie George Washington Ball, the Ambassador’s Cup Golf Tournament, the Independence Day Celebrations, Toys for Tots, Thanksgiving Run and the Spring Fling Celebrations.
Social/Networking Events
We also host smaller and more frequent events that aim to help expats connect with each other and with the local community. Sometimes social, sometimes cultural, from pub crawls to inspirational talks, there’s something for everyone.
