Plains Conservation Center (PCC) is a non-profit organization located in east Aurora, Colorado. PCC's mission is to bring the natural wonder of the prairie into the realm of personal experience by PRESERVING a remnant of the eastern Colorado high plains; EDUCATING the public about its natural and cultural heritage and NURTURING sound conservation and environmental education.
PCC manages 1,100 acres of short-grass prairie at its main campus in Aurora and another 9,000 acres in eastern Arapahoe & Elbert counties. We present programs for 20,000 school children and visitors annually.
