Changing lives and communities through the power of Work
We are a non-profit, social enterprise that creates work opportunities, skills development and social integration for people who face barriers to employment such as disability or social disadvantage. One of seven regional Goodwills in Canada, and now with more than 600 employees, we serve much of southwestern Ontario through a network of 11 Community Stores, 17 Attended Donation Centres, two Career Centre Job Connections and a social purpose café across eight communities including London, St. Thomas, Stratford, Strathroy, Tillsonburg, Woodstock, Kitchener, Waterloo and Guelph.
Goodwill Career Centre and Job Connections centred in the London area and supported by local, provincial and federal funders, provide free, professional employment preparation, training and job placement services to individuals seeking to work or re-train. Last year Goodwill’s Career Centre team of 47 professional counsellors, trainers and job placement specialists served more than 10,000 job seekers providing employment resource centres, assessment, counselling, skills development, family strengthening and job placement.
Free services for employers seeking to hire and a partnership with the Small Business Centre to assist persons with disabilities to start their own business are also offered.
