The Kennedy Institute is world-leading in translational research in the areas of rheumatology, inflammation, immunology and tissue biology.
The Institute is situated at the heart of the University of Oxford’s Old Road campus and houses basic and clinician scientists working in the areas of microbiome, immunology, inflammation and tissue biology and repair.
We adopt a multidisciplinary approach, from basic biology, through models of disease to the development and testing of novel therapies in the clinic. There are strong links with clinical centres focussing on joint and bone diseases, inflammatory bowel disease and cancer.
The Institute Director is Professor Fiona Powrie FRS.
