Tenuta Tre Terre, nestled in the Dragočevac valley near Momjan, is a special place in Istria, known for wines like Muscat. Entrepreneur Ivan Catalano got the 4ha estate in 2005, making it a haven for his family. Tre Terre, meaning "Three Lands," got its name from the vibrant soils uncovered during vineyard prep.
Since 2019, Tre Terre focuses on Istrian grapes, turning them into local vinegar. Ivan's interest in vinegar began in 2000, inspired by Modena's balsamic vinegar. Guided by Mr. Maselli, Ivan learned traditional vinegar-making. The estate uses French barrels and traditional ones for this journey.
In 2020, lavender plants were added for essential oil, leading to vinegar-based cleaning products. In 2022, three vinegars emerged: red wine vinegar, Istrian Malvasia wine vinegar, and 3-year-aged must vinegar.
Tre Terre also collaborates with local farms for olive oil, honey, truffle spread, jams, and juices. Under Ivan's vision, it became a unique destination in Istria—beautiful landscapes, sunsets, and local delights. Explore Istria through our offerings at Tre Terre.
