Weave Youth & Community Services is a not-for-profit organisation that supports children, young people, families and communities facing complex social situations. Our mission is to empower people to change their lives and give them every opportunity to find way up and a way forward. We’re driven by the belief that everyone has the power to reach their full potential. By providing tailored support, and access to life-changing opportunities, we can equip people with the tools they need to achieve their goals. Weave began 42 years ago in Redfern, when a group of local Aboriginal parents concerned for the welfare of their children on the streets late at night pushed for the creation of a local youth service. We now offer a range of programs that help people tackle issues related to poverty, drugs, alcohol and mental health, homelessness, domestic violence, family breakdown and isolation. Last year we provided one on one support to 2,000 people in Sydney.
