Monenco Iran was formed in 1973 as a joint venture between the private sector of Iran and Montreal Engineering Company of Canada. In 1999, Mapna, AMEC, and Mir Company became the main share holders of Monenco.
Currently, Monenco plays the main role in Iran power industry and provides engineering, consultancy and supervision services in a broad range of target markets worldwide including; Combined Cycle and Thermal Power Plants, Renewable and Cogeneration, Distributed Generation, Electrical Power Transmission Lines, High Voltage Substations, Telecommunication, SCADA and Dispatching Centers, Electrical Railways, Electrical Network Studies, System and Energy Studies, Oil & Gas and Mining, Architecture, Civil, Urban Design and Roads.
Experienced qualified personnel, using modern systems & international standards, providing high quality services, and considering principle of customer satisfaction are the main key factors of Monenco over the past 40 years. Consequently, in 2012 was ranked 144th consulting firm among the top 200 international design and consulting firms worldwide, as stated by ENR and in 2017 has been listed among the 400 economical giant companies in Iran.
Furthermore, in order to penetrate in Middle East, Africa and Europe, Monenco has established Monenco Consulting Engineering (MCE) in Oman and Monenco Engineering Limited (MEL) in Nigeria and Monenco Germany in Stuttgart.
Monenco was also successful to enter Oil & Gas market in Bangladesh in 2012 and in 2013, managed to expand its consultancy services in Iraq including synchronous interconnection of Iran-Iraq grids also achieved the certificate of approved supplier to the Oman Oil & Gas Industry in Oman in 2014.
in 2015, Monenco Entered into telecommunication sector of Oman also new target markets such as Repowering, Urban Train Stations and Tunnels, High Spees Railways and Metro, Market Analysis, Investment & Management Consultancy within the country.
