CNG Division of RPGCL provides approvals for setting up private CNG Stations and Conversion Workshops across the country conducts monitoring, holds mobile courts for CNG related Irregularities, and undertakes coordination functions. CNG services are given against cash/credit along with services for importing CNG-related machinery and equipment at a minimum tax rate of 3% as per Government SRO. Petrol-driven vehicles are converted to CNG system, cylinders are re-tested, and CNG is sold through CNG station in the Central CNG Workshop at Khilkhet, Dhaka and similar services are provided through CNG Conversion Workshop at Dania, Dhaka. Under Operations Division, LPG, MS (petrol), and HSD (diesel) is produced through processing of NGL and condensate (crude oil obtained as a by-product of natural gas) at Kailashtila LPG Plant in Sylhet and are marketed while handling of condensate is continued at Ashuganj installation. Recently, activities have started for LNG related terminal development, operation and procurement of LNG.
