International School of Uganda was established in 1967 and is the oldest international school in Uganda. Formerly known as Lincoln International School, ISU is a not-for-profit, parent-owned school offering three IB programmes. With 550 students from Pre-K to Grade 12, representing more than 60 nationalities, we are committed to guiding our students to become responsible global citizens.
At the centre of every great school is its outstanding staff and ISU is no exception. ISU has 64 full time experienced and highly qualified teachers, 30 administrative staff and 100 support staff that are engaged in maintaining the excellent service provided by the school. Almost half the teachers hold post-graduate degrees including 20 with masters and 2 with doctorates. Staff are offered the opportunity for professional development during their time at ISU. Whether inside the classroom or in one of our extra-curricular activities, students and teachers engage in a learning process that is second to none. ISU staff are recruited from around the world, most of whom are certified in Britain, America or Canada and are part of a highly supportive educational community deeply committed to educating the whole child.
ISU is a leader in providing world-class, holistic education in a multi-cultural setting, inspiring and equipping students to be life-long learners, to reach their full potential and to be responsible global citizens active in shaping the future.
