Knebworth Park is internationally known as Britain’s largest music venue, and the British home of classic rock.
The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Oasis, Robbie Williams… over 100 major artists have played Knebworth festivals since their inception in 1974, in front of over two million fans. The name Knebworth is now synonymous with live music.
Our historic country park covers over 250 acres and provides a perfect setting for both public and corporate outdoor events and exhibitions. The Estate is popular with film makers and the House has been used for TV, feature films and photoshoots. The gardens surrounding the House were redesigned by Sir Edwin Lutyens and are planted for interest throughout the season.
The romantic exterior of Knebworth House with its turrets, domes and gargoyles silhouetted against the sky does little to prepare the visitor for what to expect inside. The Victorian decoration covers a red brick house dating back to the Tudor times. The House has been home to the Lytton family for more than 500 years entertaining Elizabeth 1 for a visit in 1571. Today, more than 100,000 visitors come to Knebworth each year to enjoy the House, Gardens, Park and the varied events held throughout the season.
Knebworth Barns, our hospitality venue, provide a superb venue for celebrations and corporate hospitality throughout the year.
