A1AA administers Older Americans Act funded programs in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties in rural, coastal northern California. Funds, develops, plans and advocates for senior services. Directly provides information and assistance, health insurance counseling and advocacy (HICAP), long term care ombudsman, caregiver support and training, respite funding, health programs and volunteer opportunities. Is a member of Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster and manages spontaneous volunteers during disasters.
