SB Works is a new small business resource center for the District of Columbia focused on tackling the biggest challenges facing business owners. We are a new kind of community development nonprofit focusing on high-quality services for DC’s small business community. Our primary purpose is to help your small business grow. Every member of the SB Works team believes in the important role small businesses play in enhancing the character and culture of DC’s neighborhoods. Our Goals • Expand and improve services for small business • Give a greater voice to small businesses • Improve access to information for small business • Cultivate the small business environment in Ward 5 and the District of Columbia Our services protect and nurture the dreams and aspirations of small business owners, so they can make our city great. We lower economic barriers for local businesses by troubleshooting with, advocating for and developing relationships within the District’s under-­represented neighborhoods. SB Works is unique because it is dedicated to helping small business owners balance business performance with a sustainable lifestyle.
