Medicus Mundi Italy is a not-for-profit specialized in international healthcare cooperation. Founded in Brescia (Italy) in 1968, it is part of Medicus Mundi International - Network “Health for All!” (WHO resolution EB 63R27). The mission of MMI is to improve the quality and efficiency of social and health services in countries with limited resources. In recent years, MMI has increasingly its attention to the countries of Sub-Saharan Africa, by implementing multi-sectoral projects in partnership with other associations. In particular, MMI has focused its projects in: primary healthcare, prevention and health education, training of social and health workers; fight against mother and child malnutrition, HIV, malaria, tuberculosis and other tropical infectious diseases. Since 1988, MMI organizes a Course in Tropical Diseases and International Medicine together with the University of Brescia.
