HealthRight International was founded in 1989 in the USA by Dr. Jonathan Mann (specialist in the field of public health and protection of human rights). For more than 30 years, the organization has been working in more than 30 countries.
In 2008, HealthRight International founded local Ukrainian organization - HealthRight Ukraine, to implement successful local social initiatives.
More than 25 thousand women, men and children receive our help, social and psychological services in their communities throughout Ukraine every year.
Our work is focused on equal opportunities for health care for those who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.
We are focused on helping internally displaced persons, women and children affected by violence, people with HIV/AIDS, and their family members.
In connection with the beginning of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine in February 2022 and the resulting humanitarian crisis, our program activities were adapted to new challenges and today include humanitarian assistance and support for war victims.
We plan to continue developing services for our target groups in communities, including:
Pay more attention to the sustainability of our services.
Defend the issue of social order for services.
To train state and public organizations in our methods and models of working with vulnerable target groups.
Working to achieve the UN global goal of overcoming the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the world.
And also to reach zero tolerance for violence against women, because health is the right for everyone.
