The Junior League of Northern Westchester is an organization of women trained for effective leadership in community activities and dedicated to the belief that volunteer service is an essential part of responsible citizenship. Founded in 1953 as the Junior League of Mount Kisco, NY, the name was changed to the Junior League of Northern Westchester in 1968.
The Junior League of Northern Westchester has approximately 200 Active and Sustainer members. Regular volunteer service is required of our over 90 active members.
Our Mission
The Junior League of Northern Westchester (JLNW) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The Junior League of Northern Westchester reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in, and commitment to, voluntarism.
Our Vision
The Junior League of Northern Westchester effects positive change in its community. It assesses needs, collaborates, develops and conducts programs that empower individuals and families.
Our Members
The Junior League of Northern Westchester consists of a diverse group of women between the ages of 21 and 95 who believe that voluntarism is an important part of making a difference in our community. Approximately fifty percent of our Active members are employed outside the home.
