The Town of Medley, named after its founder, Sylvester Medley, was incorporated in 1949. In the late 1960’s, this primarily industrial town had grown to include about 325 light-to-heavy industries. Today Medley, which now occupies eight square miles in northwest Miami-Dade County, is proud of its over 1100 businesses.
