The Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents, originated in 1973, and is the only statewide organization dedicated to the unique professional and advocacy concerns of school superintendents and assistant superintendents. The Association members include 277 superintendents and 148 Assistant Superintendents. The Association holds two general membership meetings each year, eight monthly regional roundtables, a three-day July Executive Institute, and a two-day October Technology Leadership Conference. There are also a variety of professional development Leadership Institutes offered throughout the school year.
