SCHIWAGO FILM was founded in 1999 by producers Martin Lehwald and Michal Pokorny. In 2007, producer Marcos Kantis joined the company and became codirector with Martin Lehwald in 2020. Schiwago Film is especially interested in supporting young directors and is constantly searching for interesting and ambitious stories. In cooperation with various partners in Germany and abroad, the company has managed to achieve financing for seemingly difficult projects. Schiwago Film’s notable titles include Jan-Ole Gerster’s 2012 film, *OH BOY* (*A COFFEE IN BERLIN*) winner of six Lolas at the German Film Award for Best Film, Best Script and Best Director; *MOCKUMENTARY MUXMÄUSCHENSTILL* (2004) by Marcus Mittermeier and Wolfgang Fischer’s *LARA* (2019) and *STYX* (2018), which won three awards including the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in +Panorama+ at Berlinale.
