The Oxford Foundry, University of Oxford, is an entrepreneurship centre opened by Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, in 2017. We support all 24,000 students at the University of Oxford, from undergraduates and postgraduates to DPhils and all alumni, to better society through entrepreneurship.
The Foundry is building a new generation of ventures and leaders that, whilst commercial, are focused on people and the planet first. To date, the 32 ventures on cohorts 1-3 of the OXFO Elevate Accelerator (https://www.oxfordfoundry.ox.ac.uk/about-oxfo-elevate) have raised £53m+, are valued at over £157m, have created 250+ jobs globally, and are having a positive impact around the world across all sectors and industries.
The Foundry has 3,400+ members from all four divisions and 38 colleges of the University, representing 103 nationalities. OXFO programmes include skills and training workshops on idea exploration and design thinking, creativity, and tech skills, the All-Innovate university-wide idea generation competition, inspirational speaker series and masterclasses, the OXFO Entrepreneurial Fellowship Initiative, Student Advisory Board and OXFO Booster grants, and many others.
