Our Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) are for people aged 18-plus who are detained under the Mental Health Act. We aim for short and rapid interventions to help individuals regain a sense of control in their lives to help them move onto the least restrictive care setting possible. Our acute services support detained and informal individuals as a step down from PICU, as well as direct admissions.
