Float tanks are filled with 10 inches of water that is supersaturated with 950lb of epsom salts, forcing you to float. That water is heated to your skin's temperature, so that after 10 minutes, your skin's nerve endings can no longer distinguish between your body, the air, and the water. You have been deprived of your sense of touch. By floating in the dark in a soundproof room, you are also deprived of senses of sight and sound. That is when the magic happens.
